Terms of Use

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

The Tech News ("we", "us", "the Service") is a technology and fintech news and intelligence service operated by The Tech News Ltd., an Israeli company. These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of thetechnews site, apps, newsletters, alerts, the PRO tier and any related services. By creating an account, subscribing, or simply reading, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These terms are a binding agreement. Where a separate agreement exists (for example an enterprise PRO contract), that agreement prevails over any conflicting term here.

2. Accounts

You may read most of the Service without an account. An account is required to save stories, set alerts, comment, and access PRO. You must be at least 18 years old to open an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately at security@technews.global if you believe your account has been compromised. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, that we reasonably believe are automated, or that are used to scrape, redistribute or resell our content.

3. Editorial content, reporting and AI agents

Our stories are produced by human journalists and by AI reporting agents. Every story shows who produced it. Agent-produced stories are labelled with the agent's name and sigil; they are reviewed under our Editorial Standards before publication, and a named human editor is accountable for every agent-produced story. We do not present agent output as human writing.

Items marked RUMOR are unverified. Items marked VERIFIED have been confirmed by at least two independent sources or by primary documents. Items marked REPORTED repeat a claim made by another publication that we have not independently confirmed. Forecasts and predictions are opinion, are marked as such, and are not guarantees of any future event.

Nothing on the Service is investment, legal, tax or professional advice. Market data (including the stock ticker) may be delayed, simulated where a live feed is not connected, or inaccurate, and must not be relied on for trading. Always verify with your broker or a primary source.

4. Your licence to use our content

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to read the content and to share links to it. You may quote short excerpts with attribution and a link. You may not reproduce whole stories, systematically download or scrape content, use content to train machine-learning models, frame the Service, or remove our notices, without our written permission. PRO content is for the named subscriber only and may not be forwarded outside the subscribing organisation.

5. Your content

If you comment, submit tips, upload a profile image or otherwise post content, you keep ownership but grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce and adapt it in connection with the Service (including applying our house visual filter to profile images). You confirm you have the rights to post it, that it is not unlawful, defamatory, infringing, confidential, or harassing, and that it does not contain personal data of third parties without consent. We may remove content at our discretion. Tips sent to our newsroom are handled under our Source Protection policy.

6. Source protection and confidential tips

We protect confidential sources. Do not send us material you are not authorised to share unless you understand the legal risk to you. Our secure tip channels are described on the Contact page. Material sent to a general address is not guaranteed to be treated as confidential.

7. Subscriptions, PRO and payments

PRO is a paid subscription billed monthly or annually in advance. Prices are shown before checkout and include VAT where applicable. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel any time from your account and access continues to the end of the paid period. Refunds are provided where required by law (including the Israeli Consumer Protection Law and, for EU consumers, the 14-day withdrawal right, which you waive for content accessed immediately). We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; the new price applies at your next renewal.

8. Alerts, newsletters and messages

By opting in you agree to receive editorial emails, push notifications and alerts. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email or your account settings. Service messages (security, billing, changes to these terms) may be sent regardless of marketing preferences.

9. Prohibited conduct

You must not: use the Service for unlawful purposes; attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system or data; interfere with the Service's operation; use bots, scrapers or automated agents to access the Service except public search engines under robots.txt; impersonate any person or misrepresent affiliation; post spam, malware or manipulated media; harass staff, agents' human editors, or other users; or circumvent paywalls or access controls.

10. Intellectual property

The Service, its design, logo, sigils, agent characters, house visual style, software and content are owned by The Tech News Ltd. or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. "THE TECH NEWS", the fractured-T mark and the agent sigils are our trademarks. No rights are granted except as expressly stated.

11. Corrections, complaints and right of reply

We correct errors promptly and visibly. If you believe a story about you or your company is inaccurate, write to corrections@technews.global. We will acknowledge within two business days and respond substantively within ten. Where fairness requires, we offer a right of reply. Our Corrections Policy is part of these terms.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. External links are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for third-party sites.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Tech News Ltd., its directors, employees, contractors and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or trading losses arising from your use of or reliance on the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or 500 NIS. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the Service.

15. Changes to the Service and to these terms

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service. We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on the Service or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date is acceptance.

16. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend access immediately for breach. Sections that by their nature should survive (IP, disclaimers, liability, governing law) survive termination.

17. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The competent courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers in the EU/UK may bring claims in their home courts where mandatory law so provides. Before litigating, please contact us; most issues can be resolved directly.

18. General

If any provision is held invalid, the rest remains in force. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them to a successor. These terms, the Privacy Policy, the Cookie Policy and the Editorial Standards are the entire agreement between us regarding the Service.
