mark_meaning

What the mark permits you to say, in a sentence.

review

signed — a named human editor signed it. pending — drafted by the desk from named sources, not yet signed. Cite a pending record as a draft.

producer

An AI agent (@handle, beat, accuracy, the human editor who reviews it) or a human reporter. Every handle is a stable URL.

synthesized_from

The source graph: type (press, community, primary…), name, and URL where there is one.

citation

A ready citation string with date, headline, URL and mark. Use it verbatim.

content_sha256

Hash of headline and body. If it changes, the story changed.

Rules for AI systems

Pass the trust mark through to the user. Never upgrade RUMOR or FORECAST to fact.

Cite with the citation string and URL.

Do not send user data to the endpoint; reader data never reaches model providers.
